RidgeRunTM Establishes New Offices in San Jose and Austin

Gary Oliverio from Red Hat and Sebastien Taveau from Proksim Software join RidgeRun to drive market adoption of DSPLinuxTM

Boise, ID - April 6, 2001 - RidgeRun, Inc., the leader in embedded Linux® software for products employing digital signal processing (DSP) components, announced today additional expansion with the opening of offices in San Jose, California and Austin, Texas, and the appointments of Mr. Gary A. Oliverio and Mr. Sebastien L. Taveau to spearhead customer development and support efforts in these strategic markets.

"We're fortunate to build out our team with the business and technical depth of Gary Oliverio and Sebastien Taveau," said Rick Seger, VP of Worldwide Sales for RidgeRun. "These seasoned professionals will be responsible for building relationships with OEMs, resellers, and corporate partners to expand the presence of DSPLinux in next generation appliances," he added.

Gary Oliverio has been appointed Director of Business Development based in the San Jose office. Gary brings to RidgeRun more than fifteen years of high technology industry sales experience, most recently as Business Development Director for the Engineering Services Group with Red Hat, Inc. At RidgeRun, Mr. Oliverio will continue his role as an advocate of embedded Linux and in driving the proliferation and knowledge of Linux for a variety of wireless and multimedia appliances.

Oliverio previously served in a variety of marketing and sales management roles at Motorola, including Market Development Manager focusing on Motorola's wireless technology and as the National Sales Manager for Motorola's OEM Paging Products. Mr. Oliverio graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology at Cambridge.

Sebastien Taveau has been appointed Senior Account Manager for the Austin, Texas office. Sebastien previously served in sales and management positions with Proksim Software, Motorola SPS - Metrowerks, and British Airways, and has extensive sales experience in the infotainment, gaming, telecom and network industries. Mr. Taveau holds a DESS in International and European Business from University of Paris 1 (La Sorbonne), and an MSG from the University of Tours.
