GStreamer Open Multimedia Framework

GStreamer is the Linux community's leading Open Source streaming media framework, providing developers with a base infrastructure from which any media player can be built.

Unlike other Open Source libraries, many of which are tied to specific applications, GStreamer handles all types of media data similarly.
