RidgeRun Adds European Sales Affiliate in Dublin, Ireland

Boise, Idaho - January 22, 2001 - RidgeRun, Inc., the leader in embedded Linux software for products employing digital signal processing (DSP) components, announced today expansion into the European market with the opening of offices in Dublin, Ireland, and the appointment of Mr. Tullio Venturini as Client Support Manager.

Mr. Venturini has extensive telecommunications and IT experience in Europe, and will be focused on making RidgeRun and DSPLinux the embedded Linux solution of choice for wireless Internet devices incorporating Texas Instruments' (TI) DSPs. Mr. Venturini comes to RidgeRun with more than 25 years of embedded systems and telecommunications experience with Telettra, PYE, Infotec, JetFax and eFax.com.

"We're very pleased to expand our presence into Europe where there is already a strong, established Linux community," said Rudy Prince, CEO of RidgeRun. "TI's dominant position in the DSP market is leading the way for many new 3G device developments in Europe and we look forward to finding new opportunities for using Linux in these exciting new wireless and multimedia Internet appliances. Tullio has worked with many of the leading telecommunications companies throughout Europe for many years and we welcome his association with RidgeRun."

Mr. Prince added. "To take advantage of these opportunities, we continue to forge alliances with companies that share our core values of technology innovation, product quality and customer support. With our strong relationship with Texas Instruments, solid financial support, a top-flight engineering team already in place, and recent expansion, RidgeRun is well positioned to execute our leadership strategy in the embedded Linux marketplace."
